Broken Notes : ウィキペディア英語版 | Broken Notes
''Broken Notes'' is a non-profit collaboration of musicians who mainly create music inspired by the audio works of Akira Yamaoka for the "Silent Hill" series. They have also done music inspired by other video games such as "Resident Evil," "Siren," "Syberia," "Final Fantasy VIII," and "Super Mario Bros. 3." == Overview == Broken Notes is an album of 34 songs. The project began early 2003, after the release of their debut album, Silent Hill Fan Soundtrack. Jason Gervais (project director) brought John Anthony Mathewson onto the team, and together with Samantha Dean they completed their self-titled album within a year. It was met with fanfare by its target audience. The album was released late 2003 in MP3 format, using LAME VBR to encode the files. It was first released on a temporary website and then finally an official website for Broken Notes was made public later that year. Mastering of the album was done by John Anthony Mathewson. The album features music by Jason Gervais (9 songs), Samantha Dean (14 songs), and John Anthony Mathewson (11 songs). Their self-titled album has been featured in one video game magazine as an extra DVD insert, and has even reached the attention of both Akira Yamaoka and Konami (confirmed by Akira Yamaoka himself at the 2005 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco).
